Is it actually free?

Three bill scans, no card, no countdown. After that Tjop Tjop+ is R59/month and unlocks unlimited scans plus Find, Track and Journal. Splitting a bill someone sends you is always free — you don't even need an account.

Does Tjop Tjop move my money?

No. We work out what everyone owes; your bank app moves the cash. We never hold, transfer or touch a cent — which is also why there's no card on file to worry about.

Do my mates need the app?

No. Send them their share as a link or a QR they scan at the table and they see exactly what they had. If they do have the app, it lands in theirs automatically.

How does it read the bill?

Snap the bill and it reads every line item, the total, the service charge and any discount. Crumpled or faded slips can trip it — the totals are what matter for the maths, and you'll spot a wrong one instantly on the claim screen.

Someone had three of the ten beers — how?

Tap the line to open it and use the stepper on their row, or type 3. Decimals work too: two of you sharing three specials is 1.5 each.

What if someone leaves early?

Tap Work out the damage with items still unclaimed and it asks whether someone's heading off, works out their exact share including tip, and locks it in.

Where do you get the restaurants?

Google Places, ranked by how many locals actually rate them — not who paid. No ads, no sponsored spots, ever.
